WHAT WE DO
The Patriot Resilient Leader Institute (PRLI), a 501(c)3, is a group of Lakes Region veterans and concerned citizens who came together in late 2013/early 2014 committed to combining the talents of area professionals and the scenic beauty of the Lakes Region area into programs that would assist disabled veterans throughout New England to “recover their physical, mental and emotional well-being.”
Using the scenic beauty of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, the Patriot Resilient Leader Institute runs Camp Resilience for service members, veterans, first responders, and their loved ones. Camp Resilience retreats combine facilitated peer-to-peer counseling and outdoor experiential learning activities to help attendees to improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
We wish to develop in our attendees a strong sense of:
- Resiliency: Participants strengthen their abilities to bounce back from adversity in mind, body, and spirit.
- Self-Improvement: Participants develop goals based on their new experiences and implement at least one into their daily lives
- Comradery: Participants realize they are not alone in their struggles, build lasting friendships with their fellow attendees, and leave with a renewed sense of connection to their peers
- Community: Participants return home and give back to their community and peers
