Gilford, New Hampshire – May 7, 2025—Camp Resilience proudly announces a
generous $40,000 funding award from the Granite State Vietnam Veterans’ Foundation,
Inc. (GSVVF)
From Executive Director Jeff Ladieu: “To quote Arthur J. Balfour’s Great
Contemporaries, ‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’
This unexpected funding from GSVVF continues to give back to our wonderful Veteran
community, supporting our living heroes fighting battles beyond the uniform. We are
deeply appreciative of this heartfelt donation.”
Generous funding from the Granite State Vietnam Veterans Foundation (GSVVF)
stemmed from long-term investments made by Founding Chair Leon “Buzz” Gagney.
Gagney began quietly investing in 1997 to support worthy Veteran Service
Organizations in New Hampshire.
Gagney served three tours in Vietnam as a crew chief door gunner with the 136th
Assault Helicopter Company, United States Army. He was wounded in action and
received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Army Air Medal. After his discharge in
1970, he continued his education and earned a degree in accounting.
It is a fitting tribute to Gagney that funds will be used to foster mental and physical
wellness for Veterans and First Responders at Camp Resilience. To learn more about
