Dear Camp Resilience Alumni, Veterans, Service Members and families,
As the chilly mornings sharpen in November, we watch another season slide into our lives. We take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices and service you and your families have endured, helping to craft this nation and allowing us to enjoy unprecedented privilege and opportunity. We are grateful for your military service.
Through quality, therapeutic programming, Camp Resilience cherishes the opportunity to serve you - our greatest heroes. Our creative retreats challenge you to embrace healthy lifestyle changes such as rock climbing, kayaking, biking, and even scuba diving. We cheer as you persevere to navigate the lofty mountain. We celebrate watching you unite as a team - navigating a challenging outrigger canoe or an aerial treetop course.
Camp Resilience is committed to continuing to improve our offerings to bolster your resilience and grit. The organization significantly expanded unique retreat offerings this past year. In addition to the popular Resiliency & Wellness programs, we expanded our Veteran family, Military Children, and Veteran Couples retreats. We recognize that the life of a military spouse and family member comes with many challenges.
Retreats have been instrumental in supporting military children and families who face the reality of frequent relocations. Each move bringing the challenge of adapting to new communities, schools, and support networks while leaving behind friends and familiar surroundings. The transient nature of military life can disrupt careers, educational pursuits, and social connections, adding another layer of complexity to the lives of active duty military spouses and children. The sacrifices made by military families extend beyond the challenges of deployment and relocation to encompass the everyday realities of military life. Service members often work long hours, sacrificing precious time with their families to fulfill their duties and responsibilities. Strained family relationships affect active duty service members and their loved one’s mental and emotional well-being.
Programming supports a renewed commitment to your marriages, your families, your loved ones, and, most importantly, to your health and happiness. We are grateful to be part of your journey!
With Gratitude,
Chris Ray
